Auditionees will be asked to read from the scripts provided – a prepared one minute monologue is optional.

Callbacks are Monday, May 5 from 7-10 p.m.

The Secret Garden (principal roles and OVST scholarship applicants, only)

Auditions: Saturday, May 3 2-4 p.m. & Sunday, May 4 1-4 p.m.

Where: Glidden Hall, 5th Floor; Ohio University Campus, Athens

Adults, teens and older children are encouraged to audition. There are excellent roles for an older female child/young teen, and an older male child/young teen. Children, teens and adults must be strong singers. All auditionees must prepare one verse from a song. An accompanist and boom box will be provided. You must supply your own sheet music. All should be prepared to read from the scripts provided, and perform a one minute monologue, funny story or joke. All OVST scholarship applicants must prepare a one minute monologue (OU students, only). Callbacks are by special arrangement. All auditionees will be contacted by OVST staff regarding their callback status. There will be a second round of auditions/callbacks for The Secret Garden the first weekend in June.

There are no children’s chorus roles in this show. Children are invited, however to participate in OVST’s first summer theater camp. Details coming soon!
